3 DAYS LAKE MBURO NATIONAL PARK: THE ELEGANT ZEBRA IS WAITING

Safari Overview:

The park has a variety of animals such as zebras, impala, buffaloes, and over three hundred (300) bird species. At 260 square kilometres (100 sq mi), the park is the smallest of Uganda’s Savannah national parks. Lying in the one part of Uganda covered in extensive acacia woodland, Mburo has markedly different fauna from other reserves.

Lake Mburo is the best place in the country to see the gigantic eland antelope, as well as zebra, topi, impala, and several acaciaassociated birds. The five lakes within the park attract hippos, crocodiles and a variety of waterbirds, while fringing swamps hide secretive papyrus specialists such as the sitatunga antelope and red, black and yellow papyrus gonalek.

Tour Plan

Day 1:

After breakfast we leave Kampala for Lake Mburo National Park and we reach the park at midday, check in at our camp or lodge and lunch is served. In the afternoon we have a game drive in the park and enjoy its unique acacia woodland. It is the only park you can see the beautiful gigantic eland. You will also be able to see species like the red-faced barbet, brown chested plover, southern ground hornbill, and yellow warbler, yellow-billed woodpecker and African fin foot. Overnight and dinner at Mburo Safari Lodge.

Day 2:

After breakfast, we take a boat ride, see seven lakes with their surrounding swamps hide secretive papyrus specialists such as the sitatunga, antelope and red, black and yellow papyrus gonalek. Many animals, such as crocodiles hippos, birds like pelicans heron, fish eagles, shoebill stork, can be sighted.Overnight and dinner at Mburo Safari Lodge.

Day 3:

After breakfast, transfer back to Kampala visit Igongo cultural center and Museum. En route stop over at the Equator to perform a simple experiment and experience of tropical balance before proceeding to Kampala. Lunch and Dinner and overnight at your hotel. OR transfer to Airport
